Mark established Charter Capital Group in 1994 and oversees the entire company as Principal. His primary focus is cultivating our lender relationships and sourcing new capital markets opportunities for our clients. Mark has developed an unparalleled reputation over his career having built mortgage companies from the ground up, and consulted owners on property finance across the US for the past 30-plus years.
Mark started his career in the industry having founded Landmark Mortgage Corporation which he grew from himself and a partner to over 230 employees with 11 branches across 3 states, placing it in the top three privately held mortgage companies in Southern California before it was sold. He went on to establish West Coast offices for a prominent regional bank before starting Charter West Mortgage which he grew to 3 branches before being sold. He started CCG soon afterwards to focus on his passion and specialty in commercial mortgage banking.

Colin has been with Charter Capital Group since 2008 and currently serves as Associate Director with the company. He is responsible for guiding clients through every stage of financing: from analysis & consultation, to sourcing and negotiating best loan opportunities, followed through to processing and closing for our clients. He also leads business development and marketing for the team.
Prior to joining CCG, Colin was involved with property management for Irvine Company. He has also held positions with CBRE in both their financial consulting group and market research divisions of brokerage services. Colin graduated from the Business Economics program at UC Irvine where he developed the Undergraduate Real Estate Group for the university. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in California and a very active member of the commercial real estate finance community. Colin has been featured on National Real Estate Investor and Globe Street.

Kristen has been with Charter Capital Group since 2017 and is currently the team's lead analyst. She is responsible for property and borrower analysis for new transactions to determine qualification, and is the main point of contact for loan processing to our clients. Kristen is also responsible for procuring new lender relationships to continue expanding CCG's network.
Kristen is a graduate of CSU Fullerton's Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a Finance concentration. Kristen graduated at the top of her class, while holding multiple leadership positions with her local church and coaching position with her high school alma mater's volleyball club. She also completed a professional internship program with Edward Jones in Orange County.
